Commission spaces open, personal projects, and rejection

Published 11 months ago • 1 min read

Hello Reader,

It's commission opening time! I am excited to let you know that I have a limited number of commission spaces available.

I have TWO spaces available for work starting mid June with completion dates of end of August/early September.

I also have THREE spaces available for July with completion dates in October through to November.

If you are ready to have your dream garment, reply to this email and we can get started!

Personal project updates

In May I started working on a dirndl, which is a garment that I have wanted since I was a child. I also finished the corset layer for the Travolta dress ready for me to start building the dress on top of. Finally I picked up a tailoring project from last year: a fun Victorian style cape.

If you want to keep up regularly to these projects and more I post daily to my exclusive Fanhouse. You can join here and read all my thoughts and have a say in what I work on next!

A chat about rejection

In May, I received rejection emails to two big opportunities that I had applied to.

While it was disappointing to get those emails, I’m really proud of myself for putting myself out there and taking a risk.

I believe a big part of this is the confidence I’ve grown since starting to dress in my dream wardrobe. The more I become comfortable with who I am and my own quirkiness, the easier I can handle it when I am not everyone’s cup of tea.

Hope you all have a beautiful and fashionable day,

Brooklynne Michelle

Hello Reader, I’m so excited to bring you my very first digital product: A sewing planner! This undated planner is based on my own planning system for individual clients. A student of mine saw it and asked if they could have a copy to use themselves. From there, it grew to cover everything that I would want from a sewing planner. For six months I’ve experimented with designs, tweaking everything till it was perfect. Now it’s ready for anyone who wants it! It’s $20 USD, or free for any member...
